Serious RTC, Redruth


Investigation complete

Police have completed an investigation into a collision between a car and an 11-year-old girl in Redruth on Monday 21 October. 

The incident happened on the B3300 Falmouth Road, near to the junction with Treruffe Hill, at around 1pm. 

An 11-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and was taken to Treliske hospital for treatment. Overnight, she and her family were taken by Coastguard helicopter to Bristol Royal Infirmary for further treatment. She has since been discharged and has returned home.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers from the Roads Policing team attended and carried out a full forensic examination.

Following a full investigation, police will not be taking any further action in relation to this matter.
