Update: Unexplained death, Plymouth

Matter to be passed to the coroner.

Police and ambulance were called to a property on Lipstone Crescent, Plymouth just after 8:20am on Thursday 16 December following concerns for the welfare of a female resident.

A local 37-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene, formal identification has yet to have taken place but next of kin have been informed.

Following scene investigation work and post-mortem, police are now treating this death as non-suspicious; A file is to be prepared for the coroner.

A man was taken into police custody in relation to this matter and has since been released with no further action being taken.

We would like to thank the public for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience cause to the residents of Lipstone Crescent whilst scene investigation work took place.
