Fatal collision - Wadebridge


Man named by police

Police have named a man who died following a collision on West Hill in Wadebridge on Wednesday 4 December.

At around 10.15pm, a grey BMW car left the road and hit a lamp post.

The driver, 58-year-old Jeremy Shepherd from Padstow, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.

No other vehicle was involved.

South Western Ambulance Service Trust resources attended the scene along with local police officers, specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team and the Alliance Armed Response Team.

The road was closed for around three hours whilst officers commenced a full forensic examination.

Police are requesting that any witnesses with any information and or dash camera footage to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.
