Update: Fatal collision, St Ives

Witnesses sought

A motorbike rider who died in a collision at St Ives on Tuesday 7 September has been named as 61-year-old Paul Gray.

Police investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called just after 5.30pm following the collision between a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle and a Daewoo Matiz on Old Coach Road.

Mr Gray, from the St Ives area, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The occupants of the car were not injured.

Old Coach Road was closed for nine hours while the scene was examined by a specialist forensic collision investigator.

Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for witnesses. They would also like to hear from any motorists who may have relevant dash cam footage.
