Police urge residents in the area to remain vigilant

Police have appealed for information following a burglary in Uplyme.

Detectives have urged residents to remain vigilant as the break-in is the second in the village in recent weeks.

Entry was forced into a property in the Lime Kiln area between Tuesday 26 March and Monday 1 April and a tidy search was carried out. No items appear to have been stolen.

Another property in Rhode Lane, Uplyme, was burgled between Wednesday 20 March and Monday 25 March and a large amount of jewellery and silverware was stolen (crime reference number CR/026686/19).    

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity regarding either incident is urged to contact police via email at 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101.

The crime reference for the Lime Kiln burglary is CR/029051/19.
