Burglary in Plymouth

Stolen guitars

Police are currently investigating reports of a burglary which happened in Stoke, Plymouth, on Sunday 27 October 2019.

A number of items were stolen from a residential property including a rare wine cherry coloured ‘ES 345 model’ Gibson guitar and a natural wood coloured ‘Epiphone Hound Dog’.

The burglary took place between 1am and 9am at the victim’s home address whilst he slept.

The guitars are thought to be of an extremely high value.

It is believed that the suspect/s entered the property via a back window and stole a number of items including the following:

  • A ‘GIBSON’ guitar – wine coloured – serial number 06104422. The guitar is believed to have been purchased around 1979 and has an approximate value of £4,000. In hard back leather case with a sticker of a 3D hummingbird and black and white ‘Guitar Bar’ sticker. The guitar itself is an ES 345 model and was made in 1977.
  • A ‘DOBRO’ guitar – natural wood colour with a silver disc in the middle – model is a ‘Epiphone Hound Dog’. The guitar is believed to be worth £400  – in original ‘DOBRO’ embossed leather case. Dobro guitar with a silver disc in the middle.
  • A ‘NOKIA’ digital camera – silver in colour – thought to be in the region of £100.
