Appeal

Police appeal after children’s nursery targeted

A children’s nursery near Truro has been forced to close for “key workers” after burglars caused extensive damage.

Daisy Fays Nursery at Chiverton Cross was broken in to between 8pm on Saturday 21 March and 7am on Sunday 22 March. 

Two gas canisters were stolen and significant damage caused to the front entrance.

The nursery had been due to open this week for those children with parents identified as “key workers” by the government as part of the Covid-19 response strategy, but was unable to due to the damage caused, meaning parents who are hospital staff were denied childcare. 

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting, CR/024659/20.
