Appeal to find potential witness with distinctive beard

Police are very keen to speak to a potential witness who may have seen the vehicles involved prior to the collision.

It is believe this man may have briefly stopped at the scene, but left prior to police and paramedics arriving.  

He has been described as having a distinctive beard and was possibly driving a brown estate vehicle.

Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries

At approximately 4.40pm on Saturday 1 August, police were notified of a road traffic collision on the A39 near St Kew Highway.

The collision involved a red Suzuki motorcycle, a silver Mazda 6 and a blue Ford C Max.

The motorcycle was believed to have been travelling towards Camelford and the Mazda and Ford travelling in the opposite direction towards Wadebridge when the collision occurred.

The motorcycle had a rider and pillion passenger, one of which sustained a serious, life-changing injury.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and commenced an investigation of the scene to establish the cause of this collision.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision or may have dashcam footage of the A39 between Wadebridge and St Kew Highway between 4.30pm and 4.40pm.
