Road Traffic Collision

Appeal for witnesses

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision in Torquay on Wednesday 29 December are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian at around 6.30pm, on Belgrave Road near the junction with Church Street.

A local man in his 50s sustained a serious, but not life-threatening injury and is being treated at hospital.

Local officers as well as officers from Roads Policing Team conducted an investigation at the scene and the road was reopened by around 10pm.

The police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.
