Woman approached by unknown men

Officers are appealing for information following an attempted robbery on a lone female in Honicknowle Lane in Plymouth.

The incident happened on Sunday 7 January 2018 just before 8pm in the evening whilst the victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking along the lane with her suitcase.

Two to three men approached her from behind and pulled at her suitcase. The victim was pulled to the floor resulting in her hitting her head on the ground. She managed to get up and flee the scene.

DC Morgan Emery said: “Although no items were stolen, the victim has been left very shaken-up by the incident.

"Officers located the victim's bag, which was still at the scene. No items were believed to be missing from the suitcase.

"The first man is described as white, of a stocky build and was wearing a dark hoodie, a white hat, dark jeans and black shiny scuffed shoes.

"The second man was wearing white trainers and the third man was believed to be wearing light green trainers.

“We are appealing to anyone for information to come forward contacting us via or by calling 101 quoting CR/002151/18.”
