Police seek witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following an assault on Union Street, Plymouth.

The incident happened between 1am and 3am on the morning of Monday 1 January outside the Union Rooms.

A 19-year-old man was outside the venue when he was approached by a man, who punched him in the face. The victim received multiple fractures to his jaw and was taken to Derriford Hospital to receive treatment.

The offender is described as a while male in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 11, with short brown hair. He was wearing a tracksuit at the time.
