Cigarettes taken in Plymouth burglary

Police are appealing for information after than 3,000 cigarettes were stolen from an elderly man’s home in Plymouth.

The offenders smashed a back door to get into the house in Wardlow Gardens, Eggbuckland, sometime between 3pm and 8pm on Monday 10 December.

They escaped with a pair of prescription sunglasses, cash including Euros, a laptop and an iPad Pro, plus a 1996 Tissot men’s watch with a silver and gold strap.

Also taken were 3,000 boxed Silk Cut cigarettes and police are asking for anyone who has been offered such cigarettes for sale to come forward.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the address at the time of the offence is also asked to contact police.
