Police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage as part of their investigation into a serious collision.

Police, fire and ambulance called at 11.13am on Monday 7 August following a two-vehicle collision on the A361 at North Molton junction near South Molton.

The collision was between a Vauxhall Zafira and a Scania HGV tipper lorry.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Vauxhall Zafira, a local 82-year-old man, sustained life threatening injuries and was conveyed by land ambulance to North Devon District Hospital where he is being treated for chest and head injuries.

The man’s condition is currently described as stable, and the road was closed for around five hours as the serious collisions investigation unit assessed the scene.
