Police are appealing for any sightings of a man, believed to be lost, to be reported.
Police were called at around 9.35pm on Monday 4 February to Beacon View Park, Illogan, Redruth, following reports of a man, believed to be lost.
A police spokesperson said: “A man, believed to be in his 70s, went to a property and said that he was lost and not able to recall his name. He then left the area on foot.
“The man was also reportedly seen on Merritt’s Hill at around 9.30pm. Other local residents also saw the man at the time, but not further reports have been received.
“The man is described as being white, approximately 75 years old, 5ft 7ins tall, slim build with grey hair and a small grey beard. He was wearing a grey coloured pull over type jumper. No further description is known at this time.
“This person may have already returned home and be safe, however we can’t confirm that at this time and are keen to check on his welfare.
“A large amount of foot searches have taken place in the area but no one matching this description has been located.
“If you have any elderly relatives or neighbours who match the description, please check that they’re ok, make a call or pop in to check on them. If you have any concerns please call police on 101.
At this time, police have not received any reports of missing people that match this description.
Anyone who sees the man and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 817 of Monday 4 February.
