Police car angled view

Motorcyclist seriously injured

Police were called at around 6pm on Wednesday 22 September, to reports of a road traffic collision on the Old A30, Victoria involving a white and blue Suzuki motorcycle and a white Volvo heavy tractor artic lorry.

The male rider from the motorcycle was initially trapped and was freed by Cornwall Fire Rescue Service.  The Cornwall Air Ambulance attended and the rider was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with injuries described as life threatening.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer and a full investigation of the scene took place. 

Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.  Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision and who may have dash cam footage to telephone 101 quoting Log 659 22/09/2021.
