Police seek witnesses following assault on 14-year-old

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a teenage boy on Monday 18 December.

The incident took place at around 4.30pm next to the Co-op on Exeter Road, which resulted in a 14-year-old from Ilfracombe being punched in the face.

A man got out of a dark blue estate car, whilst at traffic lights, and punched the victim in the face. He then got back into the car which drove away towards Ilfracombe.

The victim sustained minor facial injuries and was taken to hospital by police to be checked over.

The driver of the car was a blonde woman and the offender was a passenger wearing a black puffa jacket and jogging bottoms.
