A hate crime or incident is where the victim or anyone else perceives that the incident has been motivated through hostility or prejudice based on a person’s actual or perceived identity.

Please note where the criminal threshold has been reached this will be a ‘hate crime’


We take hate crime very seriously and will record this incident / crime. In order to investigate and be able to consider prosecuting the offender/s involved in this incident it is easier if the police can contact the victim.

The victim can select how they wish to be contacted.

However, if the victim wishes to remain anonymous then this incident / crime will be recorded only.
