The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.

1. For the year 2021.22, please provide the number of children you identified as being victims of online sexual abuse or exploitation.
   

All child sexual exploitation (CSE) offences are also recorded as child sexual abuse.

For the 2021/2022 Financial year there were 140 offences flagged as child sexual abuse (CSA) and that are also flagged as a cyber-crime where the victim was under the age of 18 at the time the offence was committed.

Of these 140 child sexual abuse offences, 125 were also flagged as child sexual exploitation.                                      

There were 124 unique individual victims.                   

2. Please provide the number of these children referred to SARC (if you have a SARC).

Both the Public Protection Unit and Performance & Analysis Departments have confirmed they hold no information.
