The HR Operations Department have provided the following information. 

1. Number of police officers that left the force between January 1st 2016 and January 1st 2020

Due to the way in which our data is stored, this data includes all Officers who left the Force between January 1 2016 and December 31 2019.

This amounts to 687 Officers.

2. Number of police officers that left the force between January 2nd 2020 and January 1st 2024

Due to the way in which our data is stored, this data includes all Officers who left the Force between January 1 2020 and December 31 2023.

This amounts to 896 Officers.

3. Cumulative years of experience of officers that fell into question 1.

Due to the way in which our data is stored, this data includes all Officers who left the Force between January 1 2016 and December 31 2019.

This amounts to 14,211 years of service. The average years’ service is 20.7 years.

4. Cumulative years of experience of officers that fell into question 2.

Due to the way in which our data is stored, this data includes all Officers who left the Force between January 1 2020 and December 31 2023.

This amounts to 14,350 years of service. The average years’ service is 16.0 years.
