Police are asking for the public's help to identify this man in connection with an unprovoked assault in Plymouth.

The assault happened in the Grenville Hotel in Prince Rock around 7pm on Sunday 10 December 2017.

A man was drinking in the hotel alone when he was approached by another man. He was then headbutted in the face by the man.

The victim, in his 50s and from Plymouth, sustained significant head injuries.

Police are investigating the assault and would like to identify the man pictured in connection with the offence.

Anyone who recognises him or has information about the incident is asked to contact police.
