This service is for Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs), Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) and hospital staff requesting police attendance at an S135 (1) Mental Health Act Assessment (MHAA) and S135 (2) warrant.
Please note: If you submit a form through this service inappropriately it will not be picked up and dealt with by the correct team.
Help getting access to the premises and assistance on site
If the person won’t allow you into the premises, we don’t have the power to enter without the correct warrant.
A warrant can be issued by a magistrate if any of the following apply:
there are concerns about the patient’s recent state of mind
they have been diagnosed with mental health issues
there is a risk that the person may self harm or attempt suicide
there is a risk to others from this person’s behaviour because of their mental ill health
