Since the start of 2024, there have been 39 stolen vehicle offences committed across Devon.
These thefts have occurred over a wide geographic area, involving differing makes and models of vehicle, but mainly those perceived to be of higher value.
In each case, the offenders have gained access to the home of the victim, before then stealing the vehicle by using a set of car keys which were readily accessible.
Investigations into those offences are ongoing.
