It is important for Devon & Cornwall Police to understand how representative we are of the communities we serve, to foster good relations with our staff, and ensure fair treatment for all. A better understanding of our workforce helps towards enabling our people to deliver the best possible service to our communities. The information shown in this report helps the organisation identify where it needs to improve, and reflect on what can be done differently. As an employer, the Force cannot change things for the better to get things right for staff without the staff voice being heard. It also meets a legal requirement for us to know the makeup of our workforce.
