Starting Salary £98538.00 per annum (plus standard relocation package & provision of vehicle or equivalent financial value).
Devon and Cornwall Police is looking for a new Assistant Chief Constable. The successful post holder will be responsible for the Local Policing and Partnership portfolio. The successful applicant will have both operational & strategic experience in local policing, particularly within rural and coastal policing environments. We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate strategic change management.
Although you will be a member of Devon and Cornwall’s Executive, you will be working closely with the executive of Dorset Police as the 2 Forces continue to develop their alliance. There is also the possibility that future ACC portfolio’s will operate across both forces.
The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills in challenging elements of operational policing, evidencing work and influence across significant boundaries or experience within regional/national context. An outstanding track record in successfully improving the full range of police performance on a sustained basis and strong evidence of managing resources efficiently and effectively. You will need to evidence innovation and be a supportive team player who has made a tangible difference to the communities we serve.
