Do you want to become a Police Officer?
If you enjoy facing challenges and coming up with solutions to problems and want to keep your community safe whilst developing your own skill sets, then policing could be for you. As a police officer you’ll have to make difficult decisions every day. You’ll need empathy, common-sense and compassion as well as a desire to make a difference.
Policing is challenging and rewarding and you will quickly realise no two days are the same. You’ll be a paid officer from day one, working alongside experienced officers. Once training has been completed the route you can take is varied and there are a range of specialist routes open to yourself.
We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and encourage anyone who has considered a career in policing to submit an application form. We are particularly keen to increase the number of women officers and officers from black and minority ethnic communities and candidates from the LGBT community to ensure our workforce represents the communities we serve.
Before continuing your application, please read thoroughly the FAQ section below.
