The Finance and Dog Section Departments have provided the following information.

How much has the force spent on the collection and ongoing secure care of dogs seized by the Police in each of the calendar years 2022 and 2023 and in the year to 1 July 2024?

2022   £79,228

2023   £91,761

Up to 1st July 2024     £61,553

What was the total capacity of your kennels and private kennels contracted by the force during the weekend 29th June and 30th June 2024?

54

How many seized dogs were in your kennels and in private kennels contracted by the force during the weekend 29th June and 30th June 2024?

54 – Includes Section 3 Dangerous Dogs Act offences, Animal Welfare Act cases and prisoner property
