Caveats/Limitations                                                                                              

Non-Crime Hate Incident data is not held pre-NICHE (14/11/2022).

A statutory code of practice for the recording of 'non-crime hate incidents' became law in June 2023 under sections 60 and 61 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022.                                                                                                                                     

I am looking to request information on the number of non-crime hate incidents recorded each year:

1. Please can you provide an annual breakdown of non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs) recorded for each year from 2014 (or earliest possible year) to 2024. For 2024, please provide up until the date of response.

2. Please can you provide an annual breakdown of the NCHIs recorded for each year from 2014 (or earliest possible year) to 2024 by characteristic (i.e. religion, race etc.). For 2024, please provide up until the date of response.
