The Prevention Department has provided the following information.
- Please state how many Registered Sex Offenders (Category 1) your force had responsibility for as at 1.1.24?
The Violent and Sex Offender Register (ViSOR) is a live system and can only provide a snapshot on the day a report is run. Reports are not run every day and data from previous reports is not retained. The closest date captured and recorded was 10/01/2024. On this date, 2740 Registered Sex Offenders (RSO’s) were owned by Devon & Cornwall Police on ViSOR.
How many of these RSOs (Category 1) referred to in Question 1 did you NOT have an up-to-date address for in that you did NOT know where they were living?
There were three Category 1 RSOs for whom we did not have an address or know where they were living on the specified date.
3 How many of the ‘missing’ RSOs (Category 1) referred to in Question 2 are (a) believed to have moved and be living abroad
None.
or (b) thought to have No Fixed Address and may be homeless.

Of those ‘missing’ RSOs (Category 1) referred to in Question 2 how many were designated as being managed at (i) Level 1, (ii) Level 2 and (iii) Level 3?

All cases were being managed as Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA Level 1) on the specified date.
