Why does the contact centre require my place of birth and occupation data and occupation type when I call to report a crime?
The Call Management & Communication Unit have provided the following information.
It is not general practice for contact centre to request occupation and place of birth other than to assist with confirming a person’s identity where it is necessary to do so.
When completing a crime report, the town/place of birth and occupation are ‘soft mandatory’ fields, they are not mandatory.
