Data Limitations:

• Although arrest data is currently available from 01/04/2012, due to the transition to a new records management system, data from the previous RMS with dates 01/04/2012-31/03/2018 cannot be linked to data held within the new RMS with dates 01/04/2018 - 31/03/2024. Due to this transition, data between 01/04/2018 - 14/11/2022 may have migration related issues.
• Data in questions 1,3 and 4 is representative of the number of unique arrests, not the number of unique persons arrested.
• Data in question 2 is not wholly representative of the number of repeat suspects/offenders for stalking and harassment offences, merely those who were arrested for those offences in the time frame 01/04/2018-31/03/2024 and also previously arrested in the period 01/04/2018-31/03/2019.

1. How many arrests were made for stalking and harassment in the past five years?

Of the people arrested in question 1, 12 of them had been previously arrested by Devon and Cornwall Police in the period 01/04/2018 - 31/03/2019 for a stalking and harassment offence.

3. What were the ages of offenders? Please break this down by age group (e.g. Under 18, 18-24, 25-30, etc)

4. How many offenders were male, female, non-binary or other/unspecified?
