Version Date: 08/01/2025
According to 24/7255, there were 980 arrests for assaulting an emergency worker between 2022 and 2024 where the sex of the arrestee was recorded as female.
How many of those arrests were made when a "domestic incident" was recorded as part of the arrest.
Clarification:
My request relates to the 980 female arrestees between 2020 and 2024. How many of those arrests were made when a "domestic incident" was recorded as part of the arrest.
The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Data Processing:
Qliksense Detainee Management Report
Custody Record Data Tab (downloaded all data from this tab and matched in the 'Domestic Abuse (Custody Record Level)' variable into the 24/7255 data via the Custody ID
Duplicates removed on Custody ID to give the number of arrests
Caveats/Limitations
No crimes/Cancelled Crimes excluded.
The data provided is for people arrested for 008/73 offences. The most serious offence may be something else, and indeed may have been reclassified at a later date.
From 14/11/2022 onwards, a change to working practice with the new Niche system. Since go-live, means we record more arrested offences on a custody record – they are split into a single ‘Primary’ offence per custody record and all others are ‘Additional’ (Arrest Type on Qlik). We only recorded ‘Primary’ offences before November 2022.
