The Professional Standards and Crime Departments have provided the following information.
1 a) From 01/01/2019 to 19/11/24, how many domestic homicide offences, where a woman was killed by her current or former male partner have been recorded by your police force?

1 b) In each of these domestic homicide offences, how many victims were flagged with a domestic violence marker associated with:
– Their name
One
– And/or address
None
– And/or telephone number
None
– Current or former male partner
None
1 c) of those deaths, how many were investigated as possible homicides?

1 d) of those which were investigated as possible homicides, how many arrests were made of the woman's current or former male partner?
Five – In the other case the suspect was also deceased
1 e) of those partners or former partners who were arrested, how many were subsequently charged with her murder?

1 f) How many were charged with her manslaughter?
None were charged with manslaughter but one offender was subsequently convicted of manslaughter
1 g) How many were charged with a violent offence or coercive control in relation to that victim following her death?

2 a) From 01/01/2019 to 19/11/24, how many police officers in your force have been arrested following an allegation of domestic violence?

Please note that there may be data quality issues with the figures as each Officer will have a Police record and then a separate civilian record. Any domestics, crimes etc will be logged against their civilian record. The above search relies on the fact that the civilian’s occupation has been correctly recorded as “Police Service” so they can be searched.
The search category for occurrences also does not allow us to specifically search “Domestic Violence”.
