Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FOI/25/008447/A
Version Date: 08/08/2025
The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Data Processing:
Crimes recorded on crime information system - NICHE
Cancelled crimes included, Non notifiable crimes excluded
Qliksense Report: Crime and Outcomes
Filtered by date: June 1st 2023 to May 31st 2025
Offence Group: Robbery, Burglary (Business and Community and Residential) Theft from the Person, Other Theft, Shoplifting
Data exported to excel and then the MO and Summary were searched for: Electric vehicle charg or EV charg
Qliksense Report: MO Text Search
Filtered by date: June 1st 2023 to May 31st 2025
MO Data: Electric vehicle charg or EV charg
Data Limitations:
Performance & Analysis do not currently have a property report or a report that readily identifies items stolen during an offence.
As such, a search has been run using the principal crime counting rule for theft related offences, where an electric vehicle charger is mentioned within the crime MO/Summary.
Data is reliant on the items stolen being recorded within the MO/Summary.
It is also important to note, reports are only able to search the MO/Summary and are unable to search the crime OEL - as a result, some offences may be missed.
