Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FOI/25/008376/C
Version Date: 08/07/2025
The Vulnerability Department have provided the following information.
I am writing to request the following under the Freedom of Information Act:
1. Is it a standard provision or requirement in contracts with third-party providers of relevant services (e.g. domestic abuse services, victim support), for them to use the DASH risk assessment checklist as part of their service?
Yes, Commissioned services and Partners use the DASH risk assessment.
No. DARA is a risk tool for frontline police practitioners responding to domestic abuse, not other services.
Yes, up to 29 June 2025. As of 30 June 2025 the Force implemented DARA rather than DASH.
Yes, but as above this is a recent change. Devon & Cornwall Police implemented DARA as the recommended College of Policing tool to identify and assess risk.
