Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FOI/24/007136/L
Version Date: 04/02/2025
The Performance & Analysis Department has provided the following information.
I am a final year product design student who is conducting research into the matter of property theft at music festivals.
I am writing to you in order to find out if you can send me any information/ statistics of this type of crime from Boardmasters Festival. The statistics can either be from the previous festival that occurred this year (2024) or from previous years, the information is just so I can gain an understanding into the frequency of this type of crime and whether a product to combat this matter is necessary for design and would benefit festival attendees, preventing them from having their items stolen from them.
I would love to know the number of reported incidents, The types of items stolen and the number of crime occurrences.
Preferably this year just been as well as the last 3 years of the festival, [2020 to 2024.]
