Data Limitations:
A single crime with a Hate Crime Qualifier can have multiple Hate Crime Type(s).
Data is dependent on a 'Hate Crime' qualifier being manually added to a crime
Any crime with a 'racially and/or religiously aggravated' stats classification is inherently a hate crime, therefore a hate crime is any crime with either a Hate Crime qualifier, as well as any racially or religiously aggravated crime that doesn't.
The religion of a victim is not recorded in the same way that ethnicity is, it is only recorded as a Hate Crime Type(s), therefore Question 5 can only be answered using relevant crime if a Hate Qualifier is present.
For the date range 1st January 2022 to 30th September 2025 inclusive, please provide:
1. The total number of racially- or religiously-aggravated hate crimes reported to your force
All reported crimes with a racially and/or religiously aggravated stats classification, regardless if there is a Hate Crime qualifier present.
