The Alliance People Department has provided the following information.
Please note that although the Student Officers are within their probationary period, they are still classed as permanent employees and therefore hold a permanent position within the Force during their probation.
In the year 2024 (Calendar) how many applicants have you received in the PPD entry route and how many of those have you hired?
In 2024 we received 12 PPD applications. None have been hired/started, but one is awaiting intake.
In the year 2024 (Calendar) how many PCDA applicants have you received and of those how many have successfully been accepted into the PCDA?
In 2024 we received 580 PCDA applications. Four have started and 11 are awaiting intake.
In the year 2024 (Calendar) how many final year PCDA students were there, and of those how many were successful in attaining a permanent position in your force?
During the calendar Year 2024 there were a total of 200 PCDA Student Officers that entered their final year of the 3-year probation period at some point in the year.
Of those 200 there are, as of 28th February 2025, 193 still employed by the Force. Of those 193, there are 115 that have now completed the full 3 years of service and are now no longer in their probation.
