The Alliance People Department has provided the following information.
I understand that the Counter Terrorism Police had created an online module for police officers and staff about Transnational Repression, and another online module about the powers now available under the National Security Act 2023.
1) Could you please let me know, as at 1 April 2025, how many a. police officers, b. police staff have completed the module on Transnational repression.
There is a course called Counter Terrorism – Foreign Interference which includes information on Transnational Repression. This course has been completed by 26 PC’s and 18 staff.
Please note, this training is not mandatory for all officers and staff.
2) AND, as at 1 April 2025, how many a. police officers, b. police staff have completed the module on the powers available under the National Security Act 2023.
There is a course called National Security Act 2023 which includes the powers available, this has been completed by 33 PC’s and 8 staff.
Please note, this training is not mandatory for all officers and staff.
