What training does a TRiM officer have to have that is mandatory?
All TRiM practitioners complete a mandatory 2-day TRiM practitioners course.
What is the framework for a support meeting with a TRim officer?
A TRiM assessment follows the TRiM Risk Assessment guidelines following a before, during and after interview format. This is to enable the risk assessment to be completed against 10 recognised TRiM Risks Factors and 14 Acute Stress Checklist. Dependent on the final scores, education, reassurance, information, support and onward referrals are provided to the participant.
Are TRiM officers required to under go trauma informed training?
Trauma informed training is part of the TRiM practitioner course and is also included in Continued Professional Learning (CPD) events which TRiM practitioners attend.
