The Specialist Operations Department have provided the following information.
1. How many XL Bully dogs have been confiscated by your force in the last 24 months?

4. The reasons for confiscation (e.g. illegal breeding, dangerous dog incidents, welfare concerns, etc.).
Suspected banned breeds (this was mostly in 2023), banned breeds, reported strays and dog dangerously out of control.
5. Any policies or procedures your force follows when dealing with XL Bully dogs.
Devon & Cornwall Police do not have an individual or specific policy for XL Bully dogs. There is a policy for dangerous or serious dog attacks and there is also a section within our General Police Dogs Policy that covers dealing with banned breeds and dangerous dogs.
