The Alliance Operations Department has provided the following information:

Please note that illegal E-bikes and E-scooters which have been used on the roads cannot be returned to the owner or sold. Returned E-bikes have usually been stolen bikes, not illegally used on the roads and returned to the owners.

E-BIKES

Please provide the following information for the years 2025, 2024, and 2023 (with separate numbers given for each year).

How many e-bikes did your force seize?

Of the e-bikes seized, how many were returned to the owner? – Eight.

Of the e-bikes seized, how many were destroyed?

Seven are being held for Court

Of the e-bikes seized, how many were sold? – None, we do not sell seized E-bikes or E-scooters.

E-SCOOTERS

Please provide the following information for the years 2025, 2024, 2023 (with separate numbers given for each year).

How many e-scooters did your force seize?

Of the e-scooters seized, how many were returned to the owner? – None
Of the e-scooters seized, how many were destroyed?

Of the e-scooters seized, how many were sold? – None, we do not sell seized E-Bikes or E-scooters.

(To explain - when I say "how many were sold", I'm referring to the long-running policy that some police forces have where they sell seized items to members of the public or to businesses, often via online auctions).
