Non-Crime Hate Incidents reported prior to the 14th of November 2022 are historical records that are not held owing to a change in record management system. Therefore, data from the 15th of November 2022 to the day prior to the submission of the request has been supplied.
A Non-Crime Hate Incident can have multiple recorded victims and/or suspects and offenders, because of this, the figures for Victims and Suspects/Offenders may be higher than the number of Non-Crime Hate Incidents within the same time period.
The figures below the total number of Non-Crime Hate Incidents, and of those Non-Crime Hate Incident, all of the recorded Victims/Suspects/Offenders, if an individual is recorded as a Victim or Suspect/Offender on multiple Non-Crime Hate Incidents, they will be counted multiple times.
Non-Crime Hate Incident information is held in the same report as our Hate Crime data, where Victim is recorded. Therefore, in this report, the individual who feels victimised by the Non-Crime Hate Incident, is referred to as 'Victim', although no crime has taken place.
Can you provide the number of Non Crime Hate incidents recorded by D&C Police over the last 10 years broken down by year and if possible by ethnic background.
Clarification: If possible I would like to know the ethnicities of those the non-crime incident is recorded against, and the ethnicity of what you describe as "victims",despite no crime having taken place.
