The Alliance Fleet Department has provided the following information:

1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
Caveats/Limitations:
Please note, the exact figure for the whole Force Is not recorded. We only have a record of those fines which reach Fleet. Some fines can be received via the yellow package stuck to a windscreen. In these cases, the officer/staff will process an appeal immediately. Fleet do not process or appeal any tickets.
Please could you provide the following information for the most recent 12-month period available:
1) The total number of Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) or parking fines issued to operational vehicles.
18 parking tickets for operational vehicles were received.
2) Where possible, a breakdown of:
o Private parking charge notices (issued by private parking operators) 17
o Council-issued parking fines (Penalty Charge Notices) – One
3) The number of these PCNs that were:
o Cancelled
o Successfully appealed
o Paid – One
Information regarding appeals is not held; tickets are forwarded to the relevant officer and it is up to them to appeal. Of these 18, only one officer requested to make a payment as a genuine parking mistake.
4) If available, an estimate of the administrative cost or staff time associated with handling these PCNs.
If the full breakdown is not available, please provide any partial data held.
Fleet estimates that is takes 10 minutes for them to process a single ticket, it may take an officer 10-15 minutes to complete the online appeal form.
