I would like to request the following information relating to recorded residential burglaries in your policing area for the calendar year 2025.
1. Time of occurrence
Please provide the number of residential burglaries broken down by the recorded time of occurrence. Where exact times are not available, please provide the data by the following time bands:
• 00:00-05:59
• 06:00-11:59
• 12:00-17:59
• 18:00-23:59
Where offences are recorded using an occurrence window rather than an exact time, please provide the data using the occurrence time bands or methodology used internally by your police force.

The Performance & Analysis Department has provided the following information:

Searches were completed within Niche from 1^st January 2025 to 31^st December 2025 for the offence group of Burglary Residential.

Please note that the number of crimes is based on the crimed date of offences, which may differ from when the offence occurred and/or when the offence was reported. ‘Time committed from’ is reliant on the exact time of the offence being known when reporting and it may be a rough estimate where exact times are unknown/unclear.

The returned data is as follows:

Between January 1st and December 31st 2025, there were 2,222 residential burglaries crimed. The following breaks this down by the time committed from window.
