When put through to me female caller said she had been out in field walking dog by sig when she saw a flash in the sky It was like lightning but not lightning. She then saw shooting stars but they weren’t shooting stars it was something odd. She doesn’t know what it was but felt someone needed to know She then cleared the line Recalling to just ask a few more questions Spoke to caller again - she did not hear any bang, no signs of aircraft in the location She said she saw 2 blocks of light in the sky and then 4 shooting star shapes but she reiterated that they were not shooting stars. Not seen anything since call but will call back if she does Spoke to Truro aerodrome which is nearby to sig - they do not have any flights around but the person I spoke to also saw a flash in the sky. No idea what it was - no weather issues there. The person from aerodrome saw it about 15 mins ago No other calls though so closing the log |

Two very bright laser lights being pointed upwards Says we can't miss it if you look west. He cannot be more accurate on where the source is Second caller reporting that he can see search lights going several hundred feet into the sky one red one white and one purple - or blue - he says they aren't lasers but searchlights - he is concerned about aircraft but says it could be some sort of event but not aware of one Cre6 - we have dealt with this. This is a farm, testing their staging lighting. All in order. They have been spoken to by attending units who also spotted the lights in the sky Both callers updated |

UFO ? Driving home from work. I was aware of bright yellow light approaching from the right hand side drivers door window. No noise. I leaned forward and up instinctively to look out of the front windscreen and then I saw a saucer-shaped low flying object was directly above in front of me. Lots of bright yellowy/white and separate red spotlights around the edges of the object beaming into different directions. No noise. I slowed down and it gradually moved to the left on a diagonally downward trajectory across my windscreen and over the fields next to the road. My first thought was that it was about to crash land but no noise or explosion followed. I thought I saw organgey lights to the left but couldn’t be sure what this was after it had passed. Each spotlight was beaming in different directions and moving rapidly giving the illusion of out of control but at the same time there was a sense of gliding movement. The object was thin and wide. It was huge- it filled the view from my windscreen above and momentarily blocked my view completely. I want someone to go out and check that everything is ok. |

Flare / light in sky What colour please? The caller believes this could have been a light aircraft falling out of the sky but then it could be a flare, but it was far too big for this and so could be a helicopter The flame was bright orangey/yellow leaving a black smoke trail Did not appear to be dropping vertically it was moving side to side By the time the caller stopped his car it had disappeared behind the tree line and he could not be sure where it landed There is nothing showing on flight radar in the area Log noted. Likely an illumination flare |
