What we spend over £500
Background
The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has indicated that public bodies, including Police Forces must provide greater transparency to the general public with regard to how they spend their budgets. To that end all public bodies must report each month all transactions with third parties over £500 in value.
Devon & Cornwall Police is a publically funded organisation and the publication of this information demonstrates appropriate openness and transparency in our use of public funds to deliver a policing service to the people of Devon and Cornwall.
However, as we are also committed to protecting the communities we serve, via preventing and detecting crime, it must be recognised that certain information will not be disclosed. We aim to be as transparent as we can but in some cases information identified as being commercially or operationally sensitive or which relates to individuals has been redacted using the exemptions afforded under the Freedom of Information Act. Using the information
Information is published in a spreadsheet, which can be opened in excel. This allows the data to be sorted and examined to meet individual requirements.

- Account (T) - Internal subjective code description
- Cost Centre (T) - Business area code description
- Amount - Amount exclusive of VAT
