The following guidance is for all applications that require proof of identification. You need to provide two forms of identification. Identification should be in date, valid and not expired. A list of acceptable forms of identification is below.
Please provide one item from each list.
If you are applying on behalf of someone else, you’ll need to provide two forms of identification for both of you.
These documents must have your name and address on them and be dated within the last three months:
Please note: you'll need to scan or copy the above documents in colour. We don't accept black and white.
If your request is for Body Worn Video footage, CCTV, a custody photograph or anything that contains an image, your proof of identity must be either a passport or photo driving licence.
If you do not hold a passport or driving licence, we’ll accept student ID, company ID or National ID card.
If you are applying by post, please don't send originals as they won't be returned.
