As per our recent messaging to our Community Messaging members, since April we have seen a significant increase in theft from vehicle offences. We are looking to engage with members of the public about their personal security to safeguard against this opportunistic crime. We will be carrying out reassurance patrols in relation to this in recently targeted areas to advise and educate about how this can best be achieved.

Shoplifting and Retail Crime
Action taken:
Shoplifting offences have risen slightly in comparison to the decline last month with 10 having been reported in Bodmin, but this is reflective of the influx of people to the area during the half-term break! We have continued to carry out routine and regular foot patrols to deter offending, and target known individuals.
