    ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

    Issued 10 May 2026

    Action taken:

    ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

    - Visible Patrols - We continue to conduct visible patrols throughout South East Cornwall. Our new PCSO, Sarah, has already provided some really positive results and has received some fantastic feedback from partners and the community.

    - Beat Patrol Plans – Reports by the public will dictate where we are patrolling. We continue to respond to reports of ASB and increase our visibility in these areas. We have had recent reports of ASB around specific areas with Saltash, which has disappointingly escalated into criminal damage. Naturally, this is unacceptable and we are continuing to gather intelligence and work closely with our partners and schools in a hope to identifying those involved. ***Please continue to report any incidents of ASB***

    - Partnership Working – We continue to work closely with our partners to deal robustly with reports of persistent ASB. We have been consistently using Local Disruption and Support Meetings to target locations.

    - Operation Bus Watch – Plain clothes officers travelling on bus network targeting ASB and VAWG. This will be reintroduced during the next few months, with a view to providing reassurance and to gather intelligence.

    - We are actively progressing a date for from Saltash Town Council for the installation of an extra CCTV camera. Careful consideration will be given in respect of its placement, so that it can be fully utilised to prevent ASB and any other associated criminality.

    RETAIL CRIME

    Issued 10 May 2026

    Action taken:

    RETAIL CRIME

    - Hotspot visits – Hotspot policing is a crime prevention strategy that concentrates police resources and activities on small, high-crime areas (hotspots) like specific streets, parks, or intersections, based on data showing crime clusters, not even distribution. By increasing visible patrols, problem-solving, and community engagement in these concentrated spots, police aim to deter potential offenders, reduce crime, and create a greater sense of public safety. South East Cornwall has designated Hotspots within our Towns of Saltash, Liskeard, Torpoint and Looe, which are concentred around retail areas.

    - Engagement – We continue to engage directly with business owners, promoting how to contact your local Police Neighbourhood Team and promote engagement through community messaging. This activity has increased following the introduction of our new PCSO.

    - UKPAC - UKPAC is a not-for-profit co-operative made up of like-minded businesses, police, crime prevention agencies and legal professionals — all working together to improve trading conditions and community safety. Working with our Crime Prevention Team, we have sourced funding for a free trial of UKPAC to allow businesses to trial this platform and have been offering this to businesses throughout the sector.

    - Retail crime has a significant impact on our businesses and we will endeavour to identify the perpetrators and put them before the courts.

  • Priority:

    DRUG DEALING AND ASSOCIATED EXPLOITATION

    Issued 10 May 2026

    Action taken:

    DRUG DEALING AND ASSOCIATED EXPLOITATION

    - Thankfully, we have low reported incidents of drug supply within Saltash. We are aware of a small percentage of individuals who continue to involve themselves in drug dealing. Intelligence gathering continues and we will take robust action against those who seek to deal drugs in our community. ***Please continue to inform us of intelligence relating to drug possession/dealing within the area***

    - Licensing Checks – We continue to work closely with our licensing team conducting visits at pubs completing licensing checks with opportunity for drug wipes within locations if concerned with drug use.
