Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams consist of Neighbourhood Team Leaders (police sergeants), Neighbourhood Beat Managers (police officers) and police community support officers (PCSOs) who are accountable to their local community. A key element of the role is to undertake community engagement to understand community concerns and update them on police activity in order to build confidence.
They will work in partnership with teams both within the police (for example alcohol licensing and youth intervention) and externally (local authorities, Environmental Health and registered social landlords) to problem solve community issues. The underlying principle of our neighbourhood policing model is to intervene at the earliest possible opportunity to prevent an escalation of crime and harm.

Issued 03 May 2026
The local team are aware of a series of burglaries in the Plymstock area. We encourage residents to ensure that all of their vehicles and garages are secure and that any power tools are both locked away if possible and that owners should consider use of UV pens to mark their property so that it can be traced. Your local team are working to identify those involved and urge residents to report any and all suspicious activity.

Youth Related Anti-Social Behaviour

We have been made aware of sporadic youth related issues which appear to be increasing in frequency. We have started to take names and will be working with our partners to conduct home visits and consider escalation where appropriate through antisocial behaviour legislation, taking criminal action against individuals where necessary.
